History Of World Children’s Day Celebration

The World Children’s Day Celebration can trace it’s establishment first in the year 1954 which was initially called Universal Children’s Day Celebration and it was celebrated on every 20th of November annually to promulgate the international freedom, rights, togetherness and create awareness throughout the universal children on the welfare of these tomorrow’s future.

November 20th has been an important date for the United Nations after which they adopted the Declaration of the Rights of Children during their General assembly. That same year, they also adopted the Convention on the Rights of Children.

Since 1990, Mothers and fathers, guardians, government leaders, non-governmental organization, community elders, traditional rulers, media professionals, nurses and doctors religious leaders and corporate leaders have been issued the mandates to ensure that children are guided in the best and holy way that would make their growth a very good one that will make them useful to the society.

The children’s Day Celebration has been set aside to play an important role, since the mother’s day, father’s day and worker’s day are well celebrated, why shouldn’t the Children day be remembered worldwide.
